The Religions and Theology Society End of Semester One Meal

Come to the Religions and Theology Society End of Semester One Meal,
we called it this because we want to be as political correct as possible
so we couldn’t call it the Religions and Theology Society Christmas Meal,
not even the Religions and Theology Society Winter Feast.
“Too festive” they said.

So, now I am sitting at my stall trying to sell tickets to
the Religions and Theology Society End of Semester One Meal
to people who do not want to go to an End of Semester One Meal hosted by
the Religions and Theology Society
(formally known as the R.A.T. Pack).
No one is coming to my stall,
my stall for the Religions and Theology Society End of Semester One Meal
and I look like an idiot,
advertising something no one wants to go to.

Five pounds a ticket we said,
five pounds for the Religions and Theology Society End of Semester One Meal,
that’s all.
You can pay the rest on the night,
the night of the Religions and Theology Society End of Semester One Meal.
We’re going to a pizza restaurant
because pizza restaurants are not closely associated with Christmas,
we do not want the Religions and Theology Society End of Semester One Meal
to become the Religions and Theology Society Christmas Meal.

Someone is coming up to my table
“come to the Religions and Theology Society End of Semester One Meal”, I say
“we can promise an outstanding level of political correctness,
can’t promise much fun”.

No tickets sold.
