You taught me to survive
on what I’ve been given.
Told me only share words,
with value in.
Packed my survival tools:
at first, only ‘sorry’,
then ‘my apologies’
finally, just silence.
I dragged myself through this,
sipping on thoughts of you
just to keep us alive.
When I finally reached our ending
I tried ‘sorry’,
you said you didn’t care.
Whimpering apologies,
to make it up to you.
There we stayed in silence,
whilst you dived into me.
