Gasp.

When there’s just us
fall into me,
take me on board,
sometimes there’s nothing new to learn,
keep with old solutions,
ones we’re taught to be ashamed of.


Breathe your confessions into me,
mix them with mine,
mouths so close
that we couldn’t lose them if we tried.
I’ll catch them,
make them part of me,
heavy tones
I’ll build into my body.


For you, I am ravenous,
nights of forgetting ourselves
to learn each other again
has left me insatiable.
